Hi - fitting 3 additional gauges (Volts / oil pressure & oil temp) in my 1991 900 T Aero Convertible. Where should they go? in the top on main dash or down beside gear lever ... where i have cassette holder?

I always thought the classic location was in the centre console ahead of the gear lever. That's where I put the triple VDOs on my MK2 Golf.

You could always of course put it up top if you're not too concerned about a radio and up high you can see it easier. Personally I'd put it lower down, probably 'cos I'm lazy and that's the easy way out!
(Don't think I will though, don't like them in the larger hole on the bottom and where the smaller rectangular hole above it I've put in 2 heated seat switches so limited on how many I can put in)

They are usually in the pocket in the centre console, with the sterio at the top in the dash.
If your car doesn't have air con then the other switches you have can go in the blanks in the dash.

Depends on how the car is used.
Fast road/track in the radio slot so you can keep an eye on what 's going on.
Regular car..cruse/commute the lower section so you can give it the occasional glance to check for reliability.
As they are being fitted to a convertible the lower setting is probably best choice..sun glare from behind will make them unreadable and a possible distraction.
