Hello readers.......
I don't own a Saab but 27 years ago my best mate bought a black Saab 99T. It was gorgeous. At the time we were 16 soon to be 17 years old and start driving. He didn't know how to drive before he started lessons, but I did.. So been teenagers and into cars we couldn't resist the temptation, and took it out, a couple of times....
Cutting a long story short.....Myself and him got stopped in it, resulting in fines and points on licence (the time between getting stopped and it going to court, we had turned 17 and passed our driving test). Another friend reversed it into a car on a petrol station forecourt. He had to pay for the repairs of the car he reversed into.
Then finally when my best mate was legally entitled to drive his pride of joy. We would just cruise round aimlessly, posing if you like.
But on quite a few occasions it would brake down.
So it went to the 'friend of a friend' mechanic a couple of times. Who I think if I remember correctly worked from the drive of his residence.
And then over time. A week turned into two, then a month and so on. It basically went missing. My mate didn't see it again.
To this day every now and then it gets mentioned. There's 8 of us all the same age who have stayed good friends for the last 30 odd years.......
And my question is................I'm looking for a Saab 99T to hire or for some one who owns a Saab 99T to drive myself and best mate to his wedding.............I will pay cash
Thanks for reading

Where are you/do you need the car? Two door or three door?

I was asking if you wanted a two door 99T or a three door 99T. A pal has a black three door, but I suspect the midlands might be too far for him.

I have a black 99T 3 Door 1978 in Bournville (B30)... looks fine from the outside. inside a bit scruffy

All depends on the date as I would have to do the driving - single named driver on the policy

Also - currently wee issues with ?ignition? - but has just completed 350 miles drive OK

I don't have any more information than that it's going up for sale. It was in an email from GWS. I'm assuming that David has more information on the car.

I would love to buy one but for now just would like to pay for a couple of hours. Not even that.
From the grooms house, the wedding venue is around 30 - 40 mins away
