My Bullnose is Pearl Grey, which seems to be almost exactly the same as the dash colour. The dash has more of a satin finish than a gloss one, though. Getting paint mixed according to Saab paint code GY2 doesn't produce quite the right colour, however. Depending on the paint supplier, you end up with either a darker grey or one with too much yellow in it. In the end I had my car's colour spectroscopically matched and it's spot-on. The paint supplier was meant to give me a list of ingredients so the colour could be matched in the future if required, a service I paid for, but it never happened despite endless chasing. Now that the paint factor concerned has been taken over by a bigger company, it probably never will. So should more paint be required, I'll have to go through the whole process again. Very annoying.

I think there's an earlier thread on dash paint colour on here somewhere, so it's worth doing a search.

John

Did you get the colour match done locally?

Fairly locally. Robin Dalwood at Westcott, between Aylesbury and Bicester, did the metalwork and paint, so it was through whichever paint factor he uses.

Don't know if it's of wider interest, but I have just come across a webpage on the Swedish Saabklubben site which shows the different Saab body colours and has a downloadable pdf with the colour mixes (fargrecept) ...

Edited: Oops, forgot to add the link, here it is ... https://saabklubben.se/medlem/farg-till-din-saab/

The later "longnose" dash colour is different to the bullnose dash. The longnose dash is darker and a flat finish.
I am taking a few panels to a local paint suppliers including a long nose dash. If time isn't an issue I could also take the glove box from my bullnose to get sampled if that helps (don't hold your breath though as my paint isn't needed any time soon)
