It's finally on the road, took far too long!

I managed to find the correct centre console and gear lever rubber, Steve at Malbrad had one left.
It needed a bit of fettling for the MOT, CO was too high, so was the offside headlamp aim probably due to a new powder coated slam panel and a rear number plate light which justed need a tap for it to come on, so I took it apart and gave the prong type contacts a bit of a bend.
It had a few advisories, noisy osf wheel bearing, which I have changed, little reserve handbrake travel, so I have fettled that and a frayed drivers seatbelt, which was really being picky, but I'll chaange it anyway.
I've been using it the last few days and it drives really well, it always turns heads and gets lots of comments.
I gave it a machine polish and some detailing and its come up well, it just needs a few marks etc seeing to and it will be even better.
A few photos I took in work and it does look that good!

I love that car. So much style. Would have even put up with the auto box, but now it's manual it's pretty much perfect!

Looking good Dave 8)

For me personally, one of the most desirable RHD C900's remaining.

Stunning, that is.

Always preferred the look of the 3 and 5 door variants of 99 and 900 personally, but if ever there was a car to change my mind then that is the one :)

Thanks for the comments!

Photo of the engine bay, I need to make an adapter so I can fit the original dipstick, I have the dimensions, I just nee to get my finger out and make one, Saab actually offered this adpater as a spare part for such occasions :)

I've done about 100 miles in it since the gearbox change, so far so good.

This one is for the engine, the one you are looking for is for the gearbox :)

The fuel sender on this car has worked more sporadically than a Jeremy Kyle Show guest. It finally decided to stay at the full mark when I filled it up the other day, changing it was easy, finding the NOS sender unit was not.

We recently found a NOS one of those for a customer with a 1982 900. After a while (a few months) it started playing up too, sticking on "full". Perhaps they don't age well.
