Car Model: 83' 900 Turbo 3SE - 16v conv
I recently took the te05-12b turbo from my 900 and sent it off for a full rebuild with uprated internals. I've had it returned after 4 weeks, reassembled on the car, and now it won't fire up.

I suspect the issue is the fuel pump. Which was working perfectly before the turbo was removed. Now when the ignition is turned to the on position there is no characteristic click of a relay or solenoid then a small whirr of a fuel pump, just silence. I measured the connection and it was receiving 9.2volts with the ignition on - down from the 11.5 I've read that it should have going to it. Worth noting that the battery was fully charged after 4 weeks sat in the boot before being put back in the car.

I've done some reading online and the fuel pump relay comes up a lot.

Interesting point is that the car is an 83' model year but has a T16 engine in and I think it retains most of its original wiring from life as an 8v...

Any thoughts, ideas or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated as I'm starting to run into dead ends now.

REMOVE RUBBER GROMMET FROM TOP OF INLET MANIFOLD,ENGINE NOT RUNNING,IGNITION OFF!(BREATHER,OR BRAKE SERVO VAC PIPE WILL GO INTO THIS,DEPENDING ON MODEL)INSERT SMALL FUNNEL,INTO INLET MANIFOLD.

POUR 'EGG CUP' FULL OF PETROL OR THINNERS INTO INLET MANIFOLD.

REPLACE GROMMET AND PIPEWORK.

IF THE CAR NOW STARTS AND RUNS FOR 4-5 SECONDS,THEN FUEL IS YOUR ISSUE.

Replaced the fuel pump relay and that solved the issue of the fuel pump not priming.
Still wouldn't start.
Replaced the distributor cap and rotor arm.
She has fired up now but sounds rough with a decent smell of unburnt fuel

timing issue?
misfires?
