I've got the engine out of my T16 99, it's got a late 80's 900 turbo gearbox in it with type 6 primaries. The gearbox is smooth and no noise or issues but one of the driveshaft cups has had it and I'd like someone to go through the box and check/renew where necessary as I hope to use the car to go abroad in coming years. can anyone recommend someone I could put it on a pallet and send it to?

I think there's a few that would be able to look at it for you, including Wes @ Nottingham Saab (who I tend to use for most of my stuff), Martin @ Jamsaab and Tommy @ TR Autos. Also Stephen @ Malbrad I guess?

Suspect one of the Scottish outfits would be able to help also though, I just don't know any myself to be able to recommend.

Nutcase on here is the resident UKSaabs 99 & 900 gearbox expert....if he's not too busy being a dad.

Yes and Dave Barrow.

Not sure if 'Boxman' who used to frequent Saabunited etc is still around also.

Ian, I can certainly recommend Dave Barrow, he built the five speed box in my 99 rally car which has been super reliable. Really knows his stuff and has great experience.
