Neo Brothers / UK Saabs Track Day 2010

OK, late in the day I will grant you, but better late than never!

We have managed to secure 30 slots for a track day on Saturday 2nd October at the infamous Mallory Park Circuit in the midlands.

The event is being put on by Circuit Days, and is an open pit lane event.

I have been on these events before, they are exceptionally well run, and no tom foolery will be allowed on track. So, for those considering their first track day, this is an ideal chance for you to cut your teeth. It will not have the carnage that is associated with the Combe Events, it is much more of a laid back day with enthusiasts sharing the circuit time together. There is not the pressure to get past as you only have 6laps. Here you have all day, so take your time and learn the circuit etc.

Mallory is a good quick circuit for the Saabs, with a nice mix of long flowing bends (Gerrards springs to mind!) and some more complex twisties.

We have secured a group booking price of £150 per vehicle (£30 discount). You are allowed 2 drivers per car, more than this will incur a small surcharge (£20 for 3rd driver etc).

The event will be run as follows:

Friday 1st October

Camping in the evening at Mallory Park (hospitality by us, but bring your own beer!)

Saturday 2nd October

7:30am Sign On
8:30am Driver Briefing
9:00am Circuit Opens

12:30pm Lunch

1:30pm Circuit re-opens

5:00pm Circuit closes

Saturday Night

Not confirmed yet (depends on events on Sunday) Camping for those wishing more of the same (beer and BBQ). If we can’t camp on Mallory I will try and find another location very close by we can use.


Sound limit is 105dB for the day, so even the T16’s with the JT 3” exhausts should pass (although I might have to have a word with the scrutineers about Jamsaab’s car, it’s just too fast!).


Again, my apologies for this being so late in the day, but we are having a very busy year, and I am organising my wedding as well, so that had to come first (“and rightly so” chips in the future Mrs Fubes). Next year will be more organised I promise!

I will definitely be spectating on this one as my 96 is far too slow and it is only just up the road from me .
Should get some good photos. Can I scrounge a passenger ride or two?????
