Anyone going?

We're thinking of driving up via Copenhagen. We had planned on visiting Copenhagen on the way back from the 2016 International, but it was too expensive because it was the weekend the city was holding the European Gay Pride weekend!! :o No room at the inn at that time...

Thinking about it.

I drove there with the 96 in 2015. Absolutely fantastic.
Wall to wall SAABS, and the biggest Auto jumble you've ever seen in your life and it's ALL SAAB stuff!

It is however, since the demise of the Harwich to Esjberg ferry, a very long drive.
In 2015 we took the North Shields to Ijmuiden (advertised as Newcastle _ Amsterdam) ferry.
From Ijmuiden to Trollhattan is around 800 miles......
The North Shields ferry is an overnight 16 hour crossing, + another night on the way unless you think you can drive 800 miles in one day.
I certainly can't!

If I go this year it'll be Fly drive.
Not sure yet.

Andy

I've booked 4 nights at the hotel in Trollhättan from Thursday night to Monday morning. Still got the journey up there to plan, but it looks like leaving here on Thursday evening for a late tunnel to Calais and straight into the Ibis at Cité Europe. Then Friday night near Bremen and Saturday night arrive in the Copenhagen area for a few nights.

Sounds like a Keeper you've got there, assuming the conversation went along these lines.
"Shall we call in at Trollhättan on our honeymoon?"
"Sounds good to me..."

Well done! :)

We are going in my wife's car. It's all polished, under the dirt from the rain and trees...
