Ade, I think we will need to meet at Wetherby earlier, with a view to leave by 08:30. We usually stop off and meet a few locals at Washington Services at about 10am before heading to the Angel. Its also a good stop off point to visit the bog before the Angel. Would that be OK with you guys?

I'll see what everyone says might be a little early for some.

Details for the convoy from the South are:

- The Limes lot to meet at Blyth services on the A1 (near Worksop) to depart at 07:30
- Stopping off at Wetherby services at about 08:15 to hopefully meet the Ridings group, and anyone from Ebor Saabs, to depart at 08:30
- Arrive at Washington services (Northbound) about 09:45ish to meet the NE contingent, to depart at around 10:15ish for the Angel.

How does that sound?

Sounds very reasonable Charlie but a bit earlier than I'm used to. I'm planning on being there.

Good Christmas Charlie thanks, I think I have a plan. As we know all plans are subject to change, however all plans include going to the Angel on the 15th. It's three weeks away but the management is aware the date is booked and one plan may involve her coming. :park:

I may have a similar plan Dave that involves the management and in addition, the hounds.

Les,

I can guarantee everyone who go's for fish and chips at our usual place.........will all get served in about 20 minutes.....it's just that some of us may not have a table & chairs and a waitress. Furthermore l will stand at the back of the que..........and l would not do that if l was not fairly confident :) .

Seriously it is a big restaurant (plus takeaway) and in the last couple of years we have not had a problem getting us all a table.........ok there may be a few more this year.......but this place is used to dealing with large numbers of customers.........and on a freezing cold day in January they are not usually full :) .

Finally there are plenty of more cafes/ restaurants along the Quay to choose from should it be necessary or some of us choose to eat elsewhere .

My only negative is they do not have a chubby Greggs ......yet  :D
