Campsite booked........eventually! Card was declined which confused me then I get a text from the bank who have intercepted possible fraudulent use of my card. Was it me who tried to make this purchase.........YES! Had to wait 10 minutes before completing the transaction. Bet if anyone does try to use my details they don't have as much hassle as me!

Barry.

I've had that a few times, it's becoming a pain in the arse! I'm told it's a legacy from the Tesco bank incident last November.

Oh and I believe I saw you last Friday at lunch time heading away from Hermiston Gait on the M8!

If I was clearly conserving fuel then it may well of been me:)

I've entered my car for the Inverness show, any others planning to go for it?

The lady told me it's filling up pretty quick......

If you do, mention my car to her, (SAAB 96, reg BWS 141S - Margaret law on margaret@inverness.uk.com), and we can all perhaps be in the same place.?

Note from the orgnaiser:

If you could ask your SAAB enthusiast friends to enter as soon as possible that would be good as we are already getting near capacity already!

Evening Collective,

Any ideas regarding routes from the South and timings etc.

I had it all worked out with a stopover at Loch Maree Hotel on Friday 12th but now I have to re-jig everything as I have to attend a Conference in Perth ( Taste and Smell disorders ) on Friday 12th.

Finish fairly late in Perth so we are looking at staying over in Pitlochry then moving north on Saturday.

Will the Southern Convoy be passing through Perth / Pitlochry on Saturday ? What time ?
What is the proposed route North ?

:?

I would guess the convoy would be meeting in Perth before heading up the A9. The only other route options would probably be Glencoe or A9 then Spean Bridge but as there is something on in Inverness I'm guessing straight up the A9 would be the route then cut over. All guess work on my part.

Barry.

Cheers Barry . . . .sounds like a plan.

Glencoe sounds like a good option for the Southern contingent.

We will pick up the convoy either way.

Hi all,
Actually got round to looking at this thread again.
Still intend to come, but despite the years notice and the many warnings to ensure to book early, I'm only getting round to it now.

Before I try to see what accommodation is still available in the area, can I check if any of the camping hut people have a spare berth available for the Saturday night? Happy to chip in re cost.
Any other ideas welcomed.

Ta
