I've been looking at the relative driving times from Kinross Services on the M90 to Kingswells, via the A92, and over the Cairn O' Mounth, versus the A93 via Braemar.

A92 route is 2 hours, A93 via Braemar is 3 hours.
We have to be there at 12 noon.

Early start!

Need a decision.

Too right, Andy ... it's peeing down here at the moment !
Forecast for Aberdeen next weekend isn't bad at the moment ... light rain showers on Saturday, sunny intervals and moderate breeze on Sunday. Could all change by then of course !

Like Jopo001 we only about 5 miles away so we'll just go straight there

We're about 115 miles away :loco: and heading in from the North-West, don't think there's anyone else coming from this direction, so will see you there !

We will be travelling from Edinburgh, plans are difficult though because I am going out the night before so not sure about the scenic route.

For us southerners I'd suggest meeting at Kinross services with a view to leaving at 9am, then a quick pick up on the A93 layby just north of Perth (9:30). Should easily make it to the Fourmile for 12pm.
Unless the snow gates are shut then maybe a detour up the A92 coastal road!

I'm still here! Will try to get to Kinross for a chat, should be able to hide the Subaru behind some bushes. Jo not able to come but I will have the Wookie as a travelling companion so no sudden movements and you should all be safe.

We can't make Kinross for 9, so we'll be going up the A92, and over the Cairn O' Mounth.

See you there!

I don't suppose anyone has a crankshaft pulley for a Triumph engined 99 nearby? Mine has come apart but I'm optimistic that we won't resort to taking a modern car!

Looking good for getting to Kinross services for 9. Who can we expect to catch up with there?

I'm not sure what to do, had a rubbish nights sleep. The choice is really meet at Kinross then probably straight to Aberdeen allowing for a kip en route or back to bed and leave about 9.30 and head straight there. Think the second option might be sensible for me.
