I am arranging a slightly silly jaunt from Maidstone to Aberdeenshire and back to collect various parts from a rotten but low miles 9-5 I purchased.

Along the way I will be picking up Shalien too.

Feel free to come along and help wield spanners :haynes:
Or laugh at the idiot sassenach

I've got a new Rattle Gun (Lidl Parkside) that needs testing. However, it's at my folks, so I doubt I'll get to test it out this time?

I've booked Monday off (well, I've logged it on the shared Calendar, but not informed anyone I'll be AWOL yet  ).

I have secured the loan of a very decent cordless whizzy gun and sockets (in exchange for chillies!). I shall also be picking up a few provisions both for the road trip and Saturday breakfast. The rest we can worry about once in Scotlandshire.

What I can't understand is why nobody else has jumped at the chance of coming to the middle of nowhere to stand /lie in the most likely freezing hissing rain to remove parts probably rusted in place by Aberdonian salt from an old car :loco:

 :haynes: :corn:

I'd hope TFatC would've arranged the best spot in his big shed to shelter us from the storm front hitting Aberdeenshire, whichever one it is by the weekend?

A rubbish day and even worse southern half of the journey has seen us a lot later than we wished.
We are about to however, enter Scotlandshire

Sorry guys, just saw this or I would have joined you, I was already as far north as Blairgowrie so only a few miles further and I could have joined you.

  I may have sampled a little malt, but not too much!

That was a looong weekend!
Thanks to a lot of help I did indeed get what I wanted - and there were plenty of laughs along the way too. Decent weather helped too.

I will write a bit more later.....

It was very good to briefly see MalcV and the bosses local MOT tester........ and laughter plenty throughout the whole weekend.
