Red, White and Blue should fit in well with Andy's Bastille Day / French Flag theme

I think the list now looks like:-

So with Lucas and Louise perhaps bringing 2 cars, we have 9 cars, of our 10 car limit on a
standard pitch. We can however, get a bigger pitch if more want to come, so keep 'em coming.

To fill in the registration form I will need Reg numbers, real names, and physical addresses, so that I can send out the
ID cards for your windscreen, in order to get on to the field. We'll do that by E mail nearer the time.

Also, Paul, how many of your local "brethren" are likely to come with you from the north of England??

I have a provisional table for 4 booked on Friday night, and 8 on Saturday night, at the Strathmore Arms in the village.
I will also tell them to get extra supplies of Guinness in this year Paul!!

1/ Andy the Troll. (Friday to Sunday)
2/ Redsaabs +Northern Bretheren (Friday to Sunday)
3/ Stig.(Saturday/Sunday)
4/ Lucas/Louise. (Saturday/Sunday)
5/ Ian Grimble (Sunday Only)
6/ Deggsie (likely Sunday only)
7/ Kraken ( Saturday/Sunday)
8/Ian Law (Saturday/Sunday).

Any more takers for the Glamis show?
I intend to put our entry in at the beginning of May, well before the deadline.

Paul.
Oh I think May will be gone by then, but God only knows what will follow.
If that buffoon Johnson becomes PM, I might even be driven into the hands of the Nationalists up here.....God forbid.

This utter nonsense, brought upon us by that idiot Cameron, has a way to run yet, and we are the laughing stock of the world.
P**s up, and brewery come to mind.
The political system in this country has been shown to be totally broken, and needs reformed root and branch. This two party system of government needs to change.

I mean, who would want to do a trade deal with us after Brexit? (if it ever happens).

Enjoy your big trip Dan Saff, sounds exciting.

It seems that the Scottish SAAB Club are also organising a SAAB stand, so I will try and see if it's possible for the organisers to put our two stands, side by side.
Graham Ballantyne has dropped out, so current list is as follows.

I want to put the entry in before the end of the month, so are there any more takers?

I will hope to be meeting with the Edinburgh gang on Saturday morning, for the WORLD FAMOUS Pentland Classics breakfast meet, so will see who wants to join us from that crowd.

I will need the details of your vehicles,(Including reg number) and your names and street addresses. Perhaps you could E mail them to me on andydeans3, then gmail.

If you PayPal money to me please send it to the andydeans3, yahoo.co.uk address NOT my Gmail E mail address!

Andy

Gang

OK with 8 cars on Saturday, and potentially 16 cars on the Sunday, we have a good stand.
I have now put the entry in, and paid the £150 total fee.
Couple of guys have still to PP me.
The entry form is below, if you see any errors, let me know.

Still need car details from John Wyatt, though they are only maybes/

If you want to bring that ridiculous Yank job that had at the breakfast meet John, that will be grand. Just give me the year and plate. I don't think there's any rule that the car has to be a SAAB.

One person I have not heard a cheap from is Nick Walker. I've E mailed him a couple of times. If you want to come Nick, I'll get you on as a late entry, I'm sure.

A couple of things.

First of all note that your cars have to be on the field around 9am on the Sunday morning. I assume it will be the same for people arriving on Saturday morning.
See notes below. Particularly note 4.
The queues to get in the place get pretty big on the Sunday morning, so the earlier you are there the better. A few years ago the queue met me halfway back to Dundee!!!!

Note that the comment about cars having to be registered before 1980, only applies to private entries. Club stands can have cars of any age.

Second. With there potentially being 18 to 20 people on our stand on Sunday, and only having one "Sitooterie", (Supplied by Stig), does anyone else have a "Sitooterie" that they could bring along?
We will not all get under Jim's one, if it rains on Sunday!!!

OR do we want to all chip in and buy one? I think this was discussed last year. They cost around £150 I think.

Below is a reprint of the rules about vehicle entry, taken off the official brochure that I was supplied with, by the organisers.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTES AND REGULATIONS PERTAINING TO VEHICLE ENTRIES
1 The closing date for all entries will be 20th May 2019, provided maximum entries have
not been reached and available space taken up before that date.

2 No person or vehicle will be admitted before 10 am, on Friday 12th July 2019.

3 Would all entrants please note that this is a 2-day event and that we prefer
to display vehicles on both days, in fairness to paying members of the public. Due
to complaints by members of the public we have had to introduce an attendance
check; these boxes must be completed and adhered to. Forms not completed will be
returned to the entrant. Checks will be completed at the event to ensure compliance.
Also we would ask that vehicles in attendance be brought to the appropriate
compound and not left in the campsite; vehicles should reach compound not later that
9am on days of attendance.

4 No vehicle (entrant or otherwise) will be admitted to the rally field after 10 a.m. on
Sunday, 14th July 2019. This rule will be strictly adhered to and unfortunately all late
arrivals regardless of reason will be asked to park in the public car park. All vehicles
must be presented for Concours judging by 9 a.m. on Sunday 14th July 2019.

5 No acknowledgement will be sent to entrants unless their entry is accompanied by
S.A.E.

6 Final instructions, & vehicle number will be forwarded to entrants at least 10 days
prior to the event. Passes will be distributed at appropriate reception upon arrival.

7 No gratuities will be paid to entrants.

8 Priority will be given to older vehicles. Entries will be accepted from all vehicles
manufactured up to and including 1980

9 Stationary Engines
Following the introduction of more stringent recommendations by the Health & Safety
Executive the following regulations will apply to stationary engines.

9.1 When in operation a Stationary Engine must be attended at all times by either
the entrant or a responsible person delegated by the entrant.

9.2 Although the Organising Committee will provide a double fenced compound
to prevent unauthorised entry by members of the public and sufficient space
within the compound to ensure that a reasonable distance is available between
the engines it is the responsibility of each entrant to ensure that no person can
approach beyond a safe distance his / her engine whether it is operating or not
from within the compound area.

9.3 The only people permitted within the Stationary Engine Compound are the
entrants or in the absence of any entrant one responsible person acting on his /
her behalf, the Stationary Engine Judge and the officially appointed Compound
Marshall or other Compound Director as required.

10 Where circumstances dictate it necessary to make a vehicle substitution these may
be permitted to attend but must be parked in the compound reserved for the original
entry. Vehicles in this category will not be eligible for awards and you should contact
the organisers as soon as possible to seek permission to change.

11 Vehicle Entry Fee – SVVC Members £3 per vehicle. Non-Members £5 per vehicle.
This fee entitles entry for a family of four (consisting of 2 adults and 2 children under
the age of sixteen). All other persons in the party will be charged on arrival.
