Happy to put my tow car OG93 on the stand if it bumps up the numbers. It's nothing special but I still love it.

Oh dearie me, 40 litres of diesel.....Does your insurance not cover this event? I've just got my insurance quote in for my 3 classic car fleet, and mis-fuelling is definitely covered.

Hi Andy,

I am with Carole Nash on a Classic vehicle policy. I tried them but it is not covered

I have been advised that it is ready for pick up and I will be going over shortly. I'll let you know how it goes.

Cheers
J

Hi again,

Car picked up and running well.

I'll discuss your policy when I see you Andy. All my cars are on separate policies :?

Cheers
J

Footman James, Multi car classic policy.
The SAAB, the MGB and Sheilah's Figaro
Includes roadside help and recovery, UK and Europe, with the RAC.
Mis-fuelling, etc etc.
Agreed valuation on all 3 cars.
£350 pa....
Don't think that's a bad deal, but am willing to be corrected.

Must look into this Andy.

My policies are all due at different times and each car costs around £120 so your £350 looks good, especially with the "mis-fuelling" cover.

Cheers
J

Tam Munro has now joined the ranks of the campers, so we have 9 cars, 6 tents.

Campers:-
Deans
Wyatt
Munro
Henderson
Brown
Tuffnell.

Day trippers,
Deggsie
Stig
Paul Dickens (maybe)

I've now paid out £100, £40 for the stand, and 6 campers at £10 each.

We'll square up on the day. If you don't show, you still pay!

Rounding up, £5 for day trippers, £14 for campers.

Folks

I have now received all the passes for Glamis.
I need street addresses for the following folks -

John Wyatt
Paul Dickens
Derek Darnell
Tam Munro.

I know some of you have given me your street addresses in the past, but I have "mislaid" them.....

E mail my gmail E mail address please, ánd I'll get these all away next week, when I get back from Ireland. (Kilbroney Classic Car show).
Looks like it might be an "interesting" crossing to Larne the morn......70 mph gales....aaagh :(

Aye aye Mike,

10 cars
I thought that I was bad at 6

I will have to rationalise my fleet shortly as I will be stopping work soon.

Big push planned on my 96 during July / August. It is 50 year's old this year 8)

Cheers

Stig

I've only got 4, and I think that's too much.
Well actually 3 1/2. The engine on the Figaro "blew" last week.
Now has no compression on cylinder 2,3 and 4.....
Haven't got the head off yet to see what's "cookin'", but I fear the worst.

I may be in the market for a Nissan M10 Micra engine soon!!!!.

Morning Mike,

Starter motor now out and in the operating theatre.

Initial checks suggest that the motor is OK.

The solenoid clicks in but the contact does not transfer juice to the motor. The motor runs freely when the solenoid is bypassed.

Solenoid must now be removed to check out the internals . . . . .first up is two mahoosive screws with slot heads. Too wide for my normal screwdrivers. What a daft design, there is enough space to put in a hex headed bolt. :wall:

Question now is should I take the motor apart to check brushes etc . . . . :?

Coffee first then press on
.

Hi mike.

Still fighting with the solenoid mounting screws.

Tried heat, cold, release oil. Probably haven't been off for 34 years

Update:-

Solenoid now off . . . . . . .mounting screws drilled out. :argh:
