I'm going to the Classic car run from Scone to Perth on the 21st, so I'll only make the Sunday run. Sounds like a great idea to make a run to the Dundee Museum of transport.

We should have a few guys coming along from the Scottish Saab Enthusiasts Facebook page, so that will add a few to our number.

Right, a rough plan as follows, similar to previous years.

Saturday - arrive any time after 3pm, teas & coffees, cars & chat, bbq & beers in the evening.

We are happy to supply food, but if you have a favourite beer or soft drink, please bring it along. Also inviting offers of snacks & desserts.

Those who wish to stay over & don't have a bed, please could I ask you to bring a sleeping bag or quilt? Welcome to bring air beds or roll mats, we have plenty of floor space, but no spare quilts etc.

Sunday - Road run to Dundee Museum of Transport. They are having a classic car display starting at 10:30am, so I'd suggest we need to be there for 10am at the latest - will confirm with them & update.

I will have to bail on the Sunday and Jo-Anne can't make it as we are now away on the Tuesday for a week.
Not sure about timings yet as to meeting up for a convoy or head straight to the BBQ.

Cheers.

Barry.

I won't make Saturday, but would like to go on the run on Sunday.
Where are we meeting up?
Morisson's Car Park Glenrothes, like last year, or somewhere else?

Hi Andy,

Morrisons car park is a good shout, say 9am for a 9.30am get away.

Contacted Dundee Museum of Transport, they are happy for us to turn up any time, but have suggested getting in before the 'official' opening time of 10.30. Entry to the museum itself on the day is £5 per person, but there should be plenty of interesting vehicles outside. It's an informal meet, so I understand exhibitors are free to leave at any time, it's not like a traditional classic car show where you're stuck until closing time.

Hi Barry,

that's no problem, shame Jo-Anne can't make it, always good to see you both. Are you still planning to bring down the extra-big camping Saab & stay over? You're very welcome, just do whatever suits you 8)

Thought I would bring my own bed, probably safer all round as I am fenced in so can't fall out or cause earthquakes. Also my 9k is running rough so that is one topic for discussion.

Thank you very much for hosting today’s BBQ and extending a warm welcome to the Saab community visiting your home.

A great afternoon.

All,

Very sorry for the last minute notice but I'm not going to make it today due to an unforeseen issue.

Hope the day goes well and hopefully catch up with you all next time.

Colin

Well, this weekend most definitely lived up to the usual superb hosting from Dave and Donna. Thanks to both of you for another great weekend.

Good company, beer and food. Sorted! :D Special shout-out to Barry for bringing his Sun Dome (maybe), hehe. Brilliant turnout on Sat and it was great to meet new faces from the Scottish Saab Enthusiast Club. The Hirsch 300 wagon was my favourite, no bias there, hehe. The 900 Turbo was a bit special and looked stunning in gleaming red.

A nice run up to Dundee Museum of Transport on Sunday with a street display of various cars organised to celebrate their 4th birthday and National Drive-It Day. The line of Saabs on display looked superb amongst the other amazing cars displayed.

Whens the next one, hehe 8)

Colin.
