Thanks for all the messages 8) Just back from visiting and they had her sitting up, no change with regards to movement but her speech is improving as you could make out some of what she was trying to say.

Her temperature is still high and the spasms are still very bad but here memory looks to be OK as she remembered it's our anniversary today and had told one of the nurses this morning, though she got a bit teary when i took flower in for her.

They have put off starting any physiotherapy until Monday to try and get the spasms under control and she is getting another scan today to see what is happening brain wise.

Thanks again everyone 8) 8)

Good news - current treatment for stokes is so much better now and the recovery that goes with that.

Just got on and read the news, I'm glad she is showing signs of improvement so early, that's a really positive sign.

I know what you mean about feeling lost without your partner, I'm the same.

Mum had a stroke a few years back, she made a really good recovery and is still here with us, thank god.

Our thoughts are with you and your good wife and we will be praying she continues to make good progress.

Stewart & Hazel

She was probably hoping for a whole bunch Colin!

Seriously, good news that she is showing signs of improvement and has still got her memory. The brain is a powerful organ and can remap itself quicker than Karl can remap a T7. It may be an uphill struggle. We don't use very much of our brain's capacity and it can find 'workarounds' after injury.

Give her our love

Only just found this Colin and how very upsetting for the pair of you, god only knows how you feel inside mate and Janis the poor lass.

Give her all my best and give her a big kiss from me mate, she'll be home soon.

If she doesn't, tell her I'm coming up..................she'll be running across the main car park in her nightie looking for a white BMW.

All the best to you both.

Fondest regards

Rob and Carole.
