Going to be buying my own BBQ soon, looking at a gas one with lava rock, looking at gas as I'd like to get it fired up quickly, thinking Lava rock to give flavour, need one suited for two to four people, any suggestions? Budget of about £70 - £100.

Hope everyone else's day went as well as ours. Food was a storm, kids loved everything, pool, night in tent, Nerf guns. I left hose running until pool hit a 12'' depth (took i dont know how long, dreading the water bill!!!!) as the kids left and family arrived the Diesels started flowing, got to about Stage 7 then overheated, bursting a hose and as i tried for the next Stage, i've melted a piston. No full rebuild here either, i'm worth more in scrap at my weight!

Tried stopping awake to watch last 15 mins (was 35 mins but by time i've read and corrected spelling) of Soccer Aid but no chance, so off for a cool shower, gallon of after sun then bed. Will take being called a lightweight gladly as its taken 38yrs to realise that, in drink, i DO, have a slightly sensible side (as long as i'm not with the lads that is)!!!!!!!!!!

Guests have gone, kids in bed and all tidied up. Just opened a nice bottle of fizz and enjoying the twilight. Loving the light summer nights at the moment. As is tradition im in my pants and feeling very chilled. Hope you've all had/Having a good un.

Well the bbq never happened at our house , we decided that chicken breasts done on the fat boxer (george foeremen) with rice and salad would be better , followed by the neighbours coming round and 'making' me drink far too much

We've just come in from my best Pal's house - he rang at 4 this arvo and asked us to go to over, very impromptu and last minute and a brilliant evening was had by all - always seems to be the way - unplanned BBQ's are always best!
