what in my pics?
i guess the guy in the background of our cars is on here too?

I'm the guy in the SaabCity plum coloured top in youngsezer's pics.
I spent 4 hours looking for sgould (found his car in 4 secs) but missed him, probably because the grass was over his head. Monday night and I'm not home yet. Still on the M40.

And I was wondering where you had got to! :) I owe you a coffee from last year!

And although I don't know sgould's middle name, if it starts with a "J" it's all sorted.

Again THANK YOU Robin and team...amazing day and next years date already reserved.
I didn't mind the long grass...the sun burn..the noisy git with his THUMP THUMP sterio system...all made for a great day!
On the list for next year..the same weather but the sun stays out until later. More bacon. A bigger boiler for tea/coffee.
Possible segregation?

The THUMP THUMP stereo system bit worked John as he won Favourite Young Swede.

Hey If people wanted to hear the Stereo.. I had to let them listen to it!! You don't have a nice stereo and listen to it quietly!

Robin,
Thanks again for all the hard work you and everyone have put into Swedish day the last few years. I am really glad that I made it to Three of them in the time I was here. Made alot of good friends and it was good to see alot of them one last time. As for winning the Young Swede award..I really didn't think I was going to win it..I had some tough Competition (Dr. Reid), but none the less..what a way to end my times at Swedish Day UK!

Tim

It's been a pleasure for all of us to see everybody with happy faces.
Now you are out the way Dr. O has more off a chance next year, lol.
But,,, if you fly in to visit I might let you have furthest travelled.

I drove 450 miles to get there! But it will be much further going home. Tuesday evening and I'm still on the M40. Went SE today instead of NW. Hope to get it right tomorrow.

Just wanted to say a great big thank you to everyone who came along to the fifth Swedish Day. This was year five with good weather and a great collection of Saabs and Volvos.
For those who chatted about the long grass, it was the weather fault, :D , days and days of rain meant they could not get onto the field with the mower without making large ruts and more than likely mulshy silage.
The good thing is the ground dried out in the two days before the show.

The list of winners were;
Furthest Travelled, sponsored by Chris Hamley; Alan Shepherd.

Most Admired Volvo, chosen by you, sponsored by Chris Knott, Alain Rosset - Volvo PV 544.
Most favourite in Show, sponsored by Car Lives, Adrian Beal in his Volvo FH13

I have put my pictures up on flickr at http://www.flickr.com/photos/trollpower ... 059389334/
and I know Alex is putting together a video as I type.

Next years show will be on the 12th May so you can put it in your diaries now.

A big thank you to the team at "South West Saab" for all the help during the day and "Lyde Scouts" for all the traffic control.

Until next year........................

A great collection of photos Robin, enjoyed that.

Rob
