I have sent my sid off to them and it was delivered last tues, sent recorded delivery. Not heard anything yet, tried ringing both numbers and emailing but no response. Wondered what the turnaround time was.

Anybody used them before?

Never had to have my sid attended to but I have dealt with Damone and he seems to be a genuine bloke and very helpful.
I wouldn't worry too much.

Got mine done by him a couple of years ago. Spoke to Damone before I sent it and he appeared to be a sound guy. Took a few more days to get it back than he said - guess he was really busy, but very happy with his work and it's been perfect since.

Had mine done for my 9-5 Aero. Quick turnaround and no issues. Reminds me though I sent him a Mitsubishi Shogun Pinin display for possible repair. Need to contact him! :-)

Well he seems pretty bad to me, emailed, no answer, rang, no answer, left a voicemail on both phone numbers, even text, no answer.

sent it off three weeks ago.

Not impressed at all.

This isn't good. I haven't used him myself. I have heard nothing but good about him.

Maybe he has cashed in his chips and done one. No matter.

Whereabouts are you?

I have a whole heap of good SID2's and a couple of not so good ones. Just have no way to check.

Not in the spot to check them out either anymore, my car is a 2004 9-5 with a bullet proof pixel design. Pity really!

Pixels are bullet proof. Button covers are woeful. Probably beyond woeful to be honest......

It gets worserer... The early SID buttons WON'T fit a 2004+ SID. I tried this ages ago... :park:

I had a siren unit repaired a few months ago which took several weeks before it was returned and it's still faulty. I have tried to contact Damon for advise but without success

Maybe I am hallucinating but I seem to recall reading something when I first joined the forum back in April about two companies involved in SID repairs and replacements. They had similar names. One had great PR and the other was best avoided.

No, not hallucinating, I also remember the post, IIRC it was somebody trading as Saab-display-repair as opposed to Saab-display-repairs. The latter (with the 'S') being the recommended trader?

Used him a couple of years back for the alarm siren for my 9-5. No issues at all with a pretty quick turn around.

OK with more than one dissatisfied customer this warrants action, which has been started.

In order to keep the thread relatively uncluttered can we only hear from people with problematic transactions though please?

I have just had a email saying sorry for the delay but he has been having personal problems, and my unit should be sent out soon, will hopefully have it back soon.

Update: Just received my sid today.

Shame there was a bit of a delay and no communication, but it got back to me in the end so that's the main thing. Also its fully working, so I am happy.

Good news, although I am still waiting for him to get back to us. Phoenixsaab have you pursued this further?

Send my alarm unit on the 09/12/15, nothing back yet, phone goes to voicemail, waiting on a response to my voicemail message.

No response to email, missed calls to both numbers or voicemails left to sidmaster regarding the above. I will update this thread if this changes but I would advise not to send any units to sidmaster for refurbishment in the interim.
