Any info on how much better a 9-3ss Aero is on fuel versus my current 9-5 Aero Estate?

I am talking daily driving, motorways, not hooning around.

You would expect a decent improvement as 2.3 v 2.0 for starters and a weight saving over the 9-5.

Just wondered if any practical experience?

Manual Vs auto is likely to have a significant impact. Are you comparing like with like?

My 9-3ss Sportwagon 5 speed manual 1.8t vector has a noobtune stage 3 (upgraded to aero turbo etc.) and like you I do a complete mixed bag of driving without thrashing it but not driving like a grandad and I currently get (spring/summer weather) 35ish mpg according to SID.
