Look at you Nick (TFatC) topping the board!! I'm not doing so bad myself in 2nd place

I will say though, you being overall 28th is pretty impressive  8)

So, after 2 races, we have Nick (aka Vettel) and myself (aka Hamilton  ) leading the championship

Well done the pair of you! Barry gets a mention for a top 4 finish overall today too.

The rest of the season has been cancelled, so I will take my plaudits now and leave. I would like to thank......

Pure fluke guys, especially as I really have no idea what I am doing!

Fair play Nick, you're 23rd in the world at the moment, and feature on the top page of the PFRL WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP: OVERALL SCORE leaderboard! All those hours of research, and years of experience, are finally coming together :D

Thank you, it is nice to have ones skills recognised!

I should point out that it has been pure luck, I actually have no idea how that has happened, to the extent I am unsure which components are scoring the points.

I am certain, however, that it is all downhill from here!

Click on your team, which will give you "team details" "Race 4". In the top right there is a drop down menu that currently says "select". Drop it down and you can select any of the races so far and it will show you the component scores.

The main underpinning of your success has been largely avoiding the carnage of DNFs- in order to finish first, first you must finish (as Martin Brundle loves to remind everyone), and getting good value from your available budget.

Toto Wolff costs you £14m and has earned 16+18+17 pts = 51pts (= 17pts per race = value of 1.13 pts per million over 3 races)
Ericsson (£8M) earned 0 in race 1 before being replaced by Kmag who got 25+16 = 41 pts (= 20.5 pts per race = 5.125 pts per mil over 2 races)
Leclerc (£6M) earned 13+12+7 = 32 (10.66/race = 1.77 pts per mil over 3 races)
Mclaren (£15M) 20+19+17 = 56 (18.66/race = 1.244 pts per mil (3))
Ferrari engine (£32M) 33 + 20 + 26 = 79 (26.33/race = 0.823 pts per mil (3))
Option (£4M) 12 + 17 (14.5/race = 3.625pts per mil (2)) and prime (£4M) 4 (4/race = 1pt/mil (1))

plus 5 pts for guessing Leclerc's qually posn in race 2.

So 297 pts, of which a lot came from your engine but in reality your engine is your least efficient allocation of budget (worse even than the ill-fated prime tyre in race 2- without which you would be 12 points higher than you are, for 309 points - which would have put you 2nd overall!)

In the last race (which was the race in which price rises were given for the first time (which we knew would be the case)) you also made £1M on Kmag, £1M on Leclerc, £1M on Mclaren, £1M on Options, plus £1M default budget increase = £5M more money to spend (which is why a good start and focussing on value/wealth increase early on is so important in this game; soon people won't be able to afford to copy your team if they wanted to, or you might see something good have a bad run and drop to within financial reach).

 I look nervously at the league each week and cannot believe how lucky I have been. It can only be luck, I still have not read the rules, and the engine limits nearly caught me out....

Damn that flippin Renault engine! Cost me a 1-2 and top scores for engine, chassis, and principal. That's pretty much the end of my chances of catching Nick up.
