Ok todays wasn't a car.

Was an old motorbike with sidecar, but the sidecar was on the r/h side of the bike - never seen this before??

:corn:

Riding passenger in a sidecar must be nerve wracking enough on the nearside? Why on earth anyone would be happy on the off-side is beyond comprehension? :loco: :argh:

True - no passenger in it when I saw it, did look a bit like the ones from WW2 films that the germans used.

Just looked it up. Seems legal for visitors and for pre 1981 machines.

Of the 4 BLS's on Autotrader today, one is a wagon: https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified ... dal=photos
I don't think I've ever seen one though.

It's a CityX. I need say no more.

Well, apart from it must have been garaged its' entire life to still look like that. Couldn't see any evidence of welding or rot, even on the front panel.

Another couple from last week.

Mk3 Escort XR3 (Non injection) in convoy with a Mk4 XR3i on the M1.

The Non injection one must be rare these days?

I used to wash cars for people at the sheltered housing my grandad lived at (they saw me washing his car once and thought I did a good job). One of those was an Austin Metro GTA. Large areas of the bodywork had been replaced with electrical tape of the same colour as the car. And the pedals felt like they were attached with string there was so much play in them. How it ever got through an MOT I'll never know.

Was owned by a WW2 Spitfire pilot.

I had a Metro City X 3-door, but in Targa Red.

Lived it's life between Southport, Prestatyn and Rhyl before I moved to Huntingdon, came back to Denbigh..

Front wings were shot before the car was 4 years old.

Love it though, great in corners but not a car for long journeys.

Did not remember this version. Something of a disappointment to see a 1500 4 pot engine with a whole 92HP. I had expected a V8 with the Tiger name.

Random rather than rare - was toured around the island in this while on holiday. Wonder if it's particularly good during flooding?
