Bill - fail safe on aircraft is throttle shut and neutral controls to try and cause minimum damage  - if fitted to Tx and Rx must be used now when flying - most 2.4GHz sets now have them.

I know failsafe does that on aircraft but it has its limitations. Failsafe on a model car stops all its motion and therefore reduces its momentum to zero very quickly. With a model aircraft you can't override gravity forever so you still have it descending out of control of the operator and the failsafe isn't clever enough to avoid hitting a person if there is one in the way, although making it circle so it can't fly out of the operator's sight can make it a bit easier to manage the situation. Failsafe will hopefully make the descent a bit less rapid but in the end, what goes up must come down.

Well i've pulled the trigger. Or taken the plunge. Whatever. I've spent my fun money. Just need to decide what to use it for!

Looks like you have plenty more space for more toys in that unit!

And here it is, I think (total noob so could be talking nonsense) it's still got the old 'crystal' style receiver...I'd imagine I could by a modern transmitter set and install that?

Engine seems to have good compression, so I guess get a nitro starter kit and some nitro and see if it fires?

May have totally destroyed the Savages original shell with too many wheelies

So bought a new shell and painted it up
