Not such a fan of the Kia Stinger. I dont mind the outside, but inside is not the understated look I want from a dashboard. Everyone seems to think a fast car dash should be covered in buttons placed with no thought to ergonomics, with big screens all over the place.

For me the 9000, the 9-3SS and the NG9-5 are about as good as Dashboard layout can get. Although I do quite like some of the older Japs, like the Supra and 300ZX.

And its not available in estate or large hatch!

If there was ever a brand that occupies the niche that Saab held it is not Kia/Hyundai - it's them folks from Bratislava! Skoda. If my NG goes pop and can't find a 9-3/9-5 at the right spec/price then I go for the Superb 2.0 Turbo 280PS 4x4 - the Superb has a similar footprint and is rather spacious inside and pretty subtle. They might be common as Prague taxis but I haven't seen many of the Mk3 used as cabs over here (unlike the Mk2 awkward special).

Saw a fairly rare XK 120 roadster today (not the more common drophead coupe). Registration number 2420RU being driven with panache not a mile from my home on the C151.

The advantage of seeing early XK Jaguars (this one was manufactured in June 1953) is that there is a lot of info available about them. Although finished in Old English White it was originally Birch Grey. Unusually it has always been rhd which makes it rarer. First registered in St Helier.

I will stop boring you now,,,, :geek:

Nice looking car but maybe the ultimate sheep in wolf's clothing?

I can just picture Beatrix Kiddo (Uma Thurman) driving along on a dusty road in Mexico in this listening to Goodnight Moon..

Immaculate red MGA, top down, overtook me on the A303 westbound near Andover this afternoon.
(I had the top down and a rear-seat passenger so was keeping speed down to reduce discomfort..)

As I reversed out of the drive this morning, I was greeted by a Dutton Reef coming up the road. The chap lives further down and I thought he only had a Surf, but it turns out he has one of each. What a nutter! The funny part was Zoe Ball was playing "Rock the boat" at the time.

I then followed a Triumph Herald 13/60 past Hurn airport.

100E Ford Anglia, duotone, yesterday in Andover. On Minilites or similar with body-coloured spokes...

Visually very much like this one :

I saw an Amphijeep and an ice cream van based on a London Taxi within 5 mins of leaving work yesterday.

I think the Amphijeep was being used to pop to the shops, which is perhaps a slightly eccentric choice seeing as the nearest navigable river is quite a distance from work.

Yesterday afternoon, Porton junction on A343, an AK Cobra (Jag-based AC replica). Tidy.
